After graduating, I courted my high school sweetheart (i.e., chemistry) for 4 years at Northwestern University. We had our disagreements my senior year and parted ways, and I soon found myself chasing a sweet young thing called international development as a Peace Corps volunteer in Guinea. She was demanding, but we laughed together, cried together and grew very close. The two years lapsed, and we parted ways. I returned to Utah searching for something... Physics at the University of Utah was welcoming, but, oh! Cruel love! I could not commit! Meanwhile, international development and I got back in touch and stayed in contact through stints in Boston and DC. Now I'm in Princeton, and we're going strong in a masters program. She's taking me back to Africa this summer where I'll be working with Mercy Corps in Niger. I will miss seeing all of you this summer at the reunion, but when my love calls...
